Welcome to my Lord of the Rings Domain!

I was introduced to The Lord of the Rings books by my dad a couple of years before the first movie came out. It quickly became one of my favorite book series.

I love the depth Tolkien shows in the creation of his fictional world, races, and characters. Even the smallest details are worked out.

The characters especially stand out. Though they are based on stereotype characters, they all have a depth to them that grows as the story progresses. Tolkien proves that a writer can take classic elements of popular characters, yet make them distinct enough to make them uniquely original.

This is something I hope to be able to mimic in my own works of fiction someday.
