Welcome to my MacGyver Domain!

The TV series MacGyver aired in the late 80's and early 90's. It became a childhood favorite of mine. I continue to enjoy it to this day.

I enjoyed the fresh approach for a fictional character. While other shows of that era, such as Magnum P.I. and the A-Team (both good shows in their own right), sported violence, MacGyver tried to change that trend. The main character, MacGyver, disliked violence and avoided it at all cost, but at the same time wasn't afraid to jump in and do the right thing through any means.

It also had original thinking, as MacGyver would use common materials around him to accomplish goals to get him out of any situation. He also had a great dislike of guns, making the plots more challenging in getting the hero out of a scrap.
